Laura was complaining I don't update my blog enough for her liking so I'm going to post about random things. Just finished my stats exam when a thunderstorm started and downpours. I am hiding in the building my exam was until the weather sucks a bit less. I might be here for a while.
But funny observation during my exam. Exams are proctored by old ladies and men not grad. students. There are about 5 of them for the room. About every 20-ish minutes they rotate where they are standing. There are stools for them situated around the room. It reminded me of lifeguards.
Also, exams are taken more seriously here. All bags have to be in the front of the room and nothing can be on the desk except the permitted materials. There are also restrictions on which calculators you can use.
